Plastic Washing Line Manufacturers
Source plastic washing lines from verified B2B manufacturers on Towobo. A plastic washing line is the core processing system in a plastic recycling plant — it cleans incoming waste plastic flakes to remove soil, labels, adhesives, and organic contamination, producing clean output for pelletising or direct reuse in manufacturing. This guide covers washing line configurations, throughput ranges, material-specific design requirements, and how to evaluate washing line manufacturers.

A complete plastic washing line typically comprises: an infeed conveyor and pre-washing trommel or drum washer for initial soil removal; a wet granulator or crusher that reduces material to flake size while wet (reducing dust and improving washing efficiency); a friction washer for mechanical scrubbing of flake surfaces; a sink-float separation tank where PE and PP flakes float and sink for density-based separation; a hot wash tank (for heavily contaminated or label-bearing material) at 70–90°C with surfactant or caustic; rinsing tanks to remove washing chemicals; a centrifugal dryer for mechanical moisture removal; and a thermal dryer (hot air dryer) for final drying to below 1% moisture. The full line configuration depends on the input material and contamination type. Clean post-industrial film may only need: pre-wash → friction washer → centrifugal dryer → thermal dryer. Heavily contaminated post-consumer bottles or agricultural film need the full sequence including hot wash.
