Should I integrate PET blow-moulding on my bottling line?
Integrated blow-fill (PET preform blow-moulding immediately upstream of the filler) eliminates the cost and logistics of buying, storing, and transporting pre-blown bottles. It is cost-effective at high filling speeds (above approximately 10,000 BPH) where the capital cost of the blow-moulder is offset by the savings in bottle purchase price, storage, and handling. At lower speeds, buying pre-blown bottles from a local supplier and storing them may be more economic.
