Premium print finish options include matte lamination (the most popular finish for specialty coffee, creating a soft-touch surface and reducing glare), gloss lamination (high-impact colour reproduction, popular for mainstream commercial coffee), natural kraft paper effect (using kraft paper or kraft-effect printed film for an artisan, sustainable positioning), metallic foil hot-stamp accents, and spot UV coating. Colour printing is typically rotogravure for runs above 5,000–10,000 units, or digital printing for runs below 3,000–5,000 units. Flexographic printing is available as a mid-tier option. Cylinder plate costs for rotogravure are typically $800–2,000 per colour; most coffee bags require 4–8 colours.
