Plastic pallets are unit-load platforms produced from injection-moulded or blow-moulded HDPE or PP — used for warehouse storage, pallet racking, production floor transport, and export shipping as an alternative to wooden pallets. Key plastic pallet specification parameters are: pallet size — the most important parameter for pallet system compatibility. Standard sizes are Euro pallet (1,200mm × 800mm), ISO full pallet (1,200mm × 1,000mm), and North American standard (48 × 40 inches / 1,219mm × 1,016mm). Confirm the pallet pool or racking system standard for your market. Entry type — two-way entry (forklift tines can enter from two ends) vs four-way entry (forklift or pallet truck entry from all four sides — the standard for warehouse racking and most logistics applications). Deck construction — full-perimeter solid deck (a solid flat surface, no gaps — for small items and granular products); open deck (a grid surface — lighter weight and lower cost, suitable for products in bags, boxes, or on trays); and anti-slip surface options. Load capacity — dynamic load capacity (rated load when pallet is in motion on a flat surface, typically 1,000–3,000kg); static load capacity (rated load at rest, typically 4,000–8,000kg for racking applications); and racking load capacity (rated load when supported in a warehouse rack, typically 1,000–2,000kg). Nestable vs stackable — nestable pallets stack inside each other when empty (saving return storage space — ideal for one-way or export applications); rackable stackable pallets stack with load on top of each other (for storage-efficient warehousing).
