GOTS and OEKO-TEX Certification for Cotton Fabric
GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard): requires certified organic fibre (USDA NOP, EU Regulation 848/2018, or equivalent) AND processing under GOTS-licensed facility — covering dye inputs, finishing chemicals, wastewater, and social criteria. A GOTS transaction certificate (TC) must be issued for each B2B shipment. OEKO-TEX Standard 100: tests the finished article for >100 harmful substances (pH, formaldehyde, pesticides, heavy metals, AZO dyes) — does not certify organic but validates chemical safety. Both certifications can be requested simultaneously.
