Oils from crops with commercial GM cultivation (IP certification required):
Soybean oil: The dominant commercial soybean varieties in the US, Brazil, and Argentina (the three largest producers) are Roundup Ready (glyphosate-tolerant) or stacked-trait GM varieties. Non-GM soybean oil for EU supply requires Identity Preserved (IP) sourcing from dedicated non-GM production areas (certain European-grown soybean, specific Brazilian non-GM programmes) with certified segregation throughout the supply chain.
