Kanola yağı tedarikçisi bul →Chinese rapeseed oil: domestic production, import dependency, and major processors
China produces approximately 12–14 million tonnes of rapeseed (菜籽) annually, cultivated primarily in the Yangtze River basin — Hubei, Hunan, Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan, Anhui, and Jiangxi provinces are the primary rapeseed-growing regions. Chinese domestic rapeseed (known as 菜籽 or 油菜籽) is predominantly non-GMO, as China has not approved GM rapeseed cultivation despite approving GM soybeans for processing. However, domestic production covers only approximately 60–70% of Chinese rapeseed consumption needs, and China imports 3–5 million tonnes of rapeseed annually from Canada and Australia to supplement domestic supply. Rapeseed oil (菜籽油, cài zǐ yóu) occupies a uniquely important cultural position in Chinese cuisine — it is the preferred cooking oil in Sichuan, Chongqing, Hunan, and Hubei cuisines, where traditional varieties (non-deodorised, unrefined — 土榨菜油 or 压榨菜籽油) with their distinctive dark colour and pungent flavour are prized. This creates a significant market for both traditional (mao you / crude-pressed) rapeseed oil and modern RBD refined rapeseed oil. Major processors: COFCO (中粮集团 — China National Cereals, Oils and Foodstuffs Corporation) is China's largest state-owned agrifood conglomerate with rapeseed crushing capacity in Wuhan, Chengdu, and other Yangtze basin locations. Wilmar International's China operations (嘉里粮油 / Kerry Oils & Grains) process rapeseed through their national network under the Arawana (金龙鱼 — Golden Dragon Fish) brand. SDIC Biotechnology (国投生物科技), China Agri-Industries Holdings (中粮农业), and numerous Sichuan/Hubei provincial processors also operate in this space.
