Tedarikçilere göz at →Vietnam's garment manufacturing industry is concentrated in Ho Chi Minh City and surrounding provinces (Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Long An), Hanoi and the northern provinces (Bac Giang, Hung Yen, Nam Dinh), and Da Nang in the central region. Vietnam's major export strengths are sportswear and activewear (Nike, Adidas, Under Armour all manufacture heavily in Vietnam), outerwear, cut-and-sew knitwear, and increasingly sophisticated woven garments. Vietnam's trade agreement access is a major competitive advantage: the EVFTA (EU-Vietnam FTA) provides 0-12% reduced duty rates on Vietnamese garments for EU buyers (versus 12% MFN for Chinese garments); the CPTPP provides preferential access to Canada, Australia, and Japan; and the US-Vietnam Bilateral Trade Agreement provides MFN access to the US market.
Vietnamese garment manufacturers generally operate at a higher price point than Bangladeshi factories but lower than Chinese factories — with a focus on quality execution of buyer-provided designs (CMT — cut, make, trim) or semi-FOB manufacturing. VITAS (Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association) membership is a useful quality indicator. Common certifications held by Vietnamese garment exporters include WRAP (Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production), BSCI, OEKO-TEX Standard 100, and SA8000. Full ODM capability is available from larger manufacturers. Rules of origin for EVFTA require double transformation (fabric must be woven in Vietnam or an ASEAN country with EU MRA, then cut and sewn in Vietnam) — fabric origin is therefore a critical consideration for EU tariff preference eligibility.
Towobo connects apparel buyers with verified Vietnamese clothing manufacturers — with certifications, manufacturing capability, trade agreement eligibility, MOQ, and lead time displayed on each profile.
